It feels so good to be in the US again 🇺🇸America is my second home:I studied in Michigan.I worked in NY. I learned how to build a startup in Techstars.I’ll be in Atlanta for a few days before leaving for LA and meeting up with Brendan Gahan and the crème de la crème of the creator economy. A year ago was a tough time for Favikon. We had just rolled out our new app and quickly racked up over 10,000 free sign-ups in 48 hours, but we didn't see any paid conversions. That experience was a reality check.Our initial thoughts were:1/ People love our rankings.2/ Let's build a creator ranking tool!3/ Enjoy the free money 🤑We got really arrogant and the ranking popularity went to our heads.We quickly realized that rankings, while fun, didn't meet a real need—our product wasn't essential.It's almost comical, as this seems like Entrepreneurship 101: always listen to the market and your users. Yet, we still fell into the trap of ignoring this fundamental advice.Ever since, we've completely turned things around: ↳ We switched from focusing on creator rankings to creating a B2B influencer marketing tool, which was a better fit for what the market actually needed.↳ We've completely revamped our website, positioning and pricing;↳ We've turned our marketing strategy around to focus more on the product.Since making all these changes, we’ve seen a 30% growth month-over-month and added over 500 paying users. We're still working out some kinks, like reducing churn, but this time we’re really listening to our users and the market.It really makes a big difference.Moral of the story: Even seasoned entrepreneurs like me can mess up. It’s easy to think you're on track when you're not. The important thing is to catch your mistakes fast and change course. Can't wait to show you what we have in store for the next few months!

I get these kinds of messages every day.I could get upset, but honestly...I get why some creators are frustrated.↳ Our rankings are getting noticed more.↳ More brands are starting to use them.↳ There’s a boom in brand deals for B2B Influencer Marketing.We really do affect creators' lives.So, we have a big responsibility.But the truth is, our scoring isn’t clear enough yet.This can make some creators feel frustrated or think we’re biased.The good news is, we’re about to make everything transparent soon. A data wizard is joining us on Monday to focus on this.I can’t share much more right now, but I’m really excited about the changes coming. It’s going to change the game for the creator economy!

We're going back to our 🇫🇷 roots tomorrow!Here are a few fun facts before we unveil the updated Leaderboard:✅ Our very first ranking was the France LinkedIn Top, back in October 2021.✅ Initially a marketing stunt, the success of the updated versions in 2022, including the Top Worldwide, inspired us to develop a full product in 2023.✅ Only 10% of tomorrow's Top 200 were also in our first ranking, showing how tough the competition on LinkedIn is and how hard it is to stay at the top.✅ Marketing influencers made up more than half of our first list, but now they're just 10%. LinkedIn has become a lot more varied in its content, and that's definitely a good thing.✅ France ranks as the third most competitive country on LinkedIn - it's highly competitive. ✅ In France, CEOs and politicians are using LinkedIn a lot more now compared to other countries, especially since they hardly used it at all three years ago.✅ For the first time, we're including English-speaking creators to align with our other leaderboards that categorize by nationality.Excited yet?

Fun fact: I've been to every capital in Europe.Except Madrid:Until now.I'm here for a few days, ready to cross it off my list.And speaking of lists:Wow.The love we've received this week from Spanish-speaking creators has been incredible.From Peru to Spain, happy creators left and right shared their achievement, and it's honestly really touched me.The positivity in the Spanish-speaking creator community is truly overwhelming:Just happiness and celebrations everywhere.I won't lie; being the CEO of Favikon is challenging.Dealing with haters is part of my daily routine.Rating people carries its weight: the responsibility is immense.But seeing all these happy creators when we publish our rankings makes it all 200% worth it.I've never been more sure of our mission at Favikon: to highlight quality creators.Nothing will stop us, I promise.
