They have their excuses, of course and are trying to make it all noble and selfless, but the fact is they could have started another site elsewhere if they weren't happy with how this site is run. Instead, they stole it.

If these admins are so troubled by trolls who appear all over the net and are so worried by them that they've convinced themselves of death, doom and imminent loss of the site, they don't have enough interpersonal skills to be admins.
Either that or they're trolls who managed to worm their way in to Lizzy's good books. I remember either Lizzy or Frances actually sticking up for Dan the other day. Such a wonderful repayment of loyalty eh, Dan.
