A pioneer in the Duometre collection, a platinum case is paired with a copper-coloured opaline dial. This daring, original combination remains highly prized by connoisseurs of fine watchmaking. Equipped with Calibre 391, featuring twin barrels and two gear trains, the Duometre Chronograph Moon reveals the full complexity of its functions through its finely decorated counters: chronograph and moon phase at 2 o'clock, hour-minute and day/night indicator at 9 o'clock, central seconds in blue sweeping the tachometric scale around the circumference of the dial, seconde foudroyante (emblematic of the collection) at 6 o'clock, power reserves.

MECHANISM
THE ESSENCE OF INVENTIVENESS
Introduced in 2007, the patented Duometre mechanism features two barrels and two separate gear trains linked to a single regulating organ. One gear train powers the time and the other drives additional functions, guaranteeing exceptionally high degree of operating accuracy.
EXPLORE OUR DUOMETRE HISTORY
THE CONUNDRUM OF COMPLICATIONS
The chronograph was chosen for the first application of the Duometre as it represented the greatest challenge to accurate timekeeping because its operation requires short bursts of very high power. Since, the Duomètre has been associated with several other watch complications.

FUNCTIONS
AN ENTIRELY NEW CALIBRE 391
For Calibre 391, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s engineers started from the ground up to develop a fully integrated movement that combines a manually wound mono-pusher chronograph with moon phase and night-day complications, as well as two power reserve indicators and a seconde foudroyante (flying second) display.

DESIGN
OPALINE & AZURE REFINED DIAL
Elegant and intuitive to read, the dial echoes traditional aesthetics featuring three distinctive counters where the powdery texture of the opaline contrasts with the azuré. Adding to the visual appeal, counters are slightly sunken below the main surface, while the edge of the dial is subtly curved, following the glass box crystal contours.
BRUSHED, POLISHED & MICROBLASTED CASE
The case is a complex structure of 34 separate parts and the lugs are screwed rather than integrated to enable the use of multiple finishing techniques. A mixture of polished, brushed and micro-blasted surfaces creates a fascinating play of light with every movement of the wrist.
CAPTIVATING MOON
Enhancing the symmetry of the layout, the moon phase display is integrated into the chronograph hours and minutes sub-dial, which is set at 3 o’clock. Its blue background is visually balanced by that of the Night and Day display, which is integrated into the time sub-dial at 9 o’clock.
MADE IN OUR MANUFACTURE
From its calibre to its case, every Jaeger‑LeCoultre luxury watch is designed, manufactured and assembled under one roof, at our Manufacture in the Vallee de Joux. Our obsession with quality is renowned as every Jaeger‑LeCoultre model undergoes strict “1,000 Hour Control” testing. This unique program provides internal certification tests that far exceed official chronometry tests.
It includes movement testing before and after casing and extends throughout assembly, according to conditions that match daily wear. A quality seal is engraved on the back of every watch once it meets our strict standards.
OUR NOVELTIES
Resolving the fundamental problem of complex mechanical watches, the Duometre mechanism pushes the boundaries of watchmaking and epitomises the concept of precision. Discover the four latest expressions of the collection.
